E Light Orientation

Welcome to E Light Electric Services Orientation page. Continue to scroll down until you see "Orientation Instructions" where you will start the orientation process. The orientation process consists of the following steps:



​     1. Download and save a copy of the employee handbook.
     2. Click on the link to begin filling out your paperwork, once your paperwork is finished report back to this site.
     3. Read the information from Human Resources concerning sexual harassment.
     4. Watch the E Light Orientation Video and after watching the video report back to the site and click on the take the quiz                    button.
     5. Take the quiz, after taking the quiz report back to this site and read the instructions for reporting to the site.

Although this process can be completed on a mobile device, it is recommended that it be completed using a computer. 
Three hours pay will be added to your first weeks paycheck for completing this process

Before watching the orientation video below, please take a moment to read ALL of the instructions. Also please download a copy of your employee handbook and review the information within it. It is your responsibility to read and understand the contents of the employee handbook. If this process is not completed fully and correctly  you WILL NOT be allowed to attend the on-site orientation or begin work. Before watching the video please be sure to fill out and submit all of the required forms listed below. Be sure you double check your forms to ensure they are filled out accurately.

Common mistakes to avoid on the jobsite:

Sexual Harassment

It is unlawful to harass an employee because of that person’s sex. Harassment can include “sexual harassment” or unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature.
Harassment does not have to be of a sexual nature, however, and can include offensive remarks about a person’s sex. For example, it is illegal to harass a woman by making offensive comments about women in general.
Both victim and the harasser can be either a woman or a man and the victim and harasser can be the same sex.
Although the law doesn’t prohibit simple teasing, offhand comments, or isolated incidents that are not very serious, harassment is illegal when it is so frequent or severe that it creates a hostile or offensive work environment or when it results in an adverse employment decision (such as the victim being fired or demoted or unable to continue working).
The harasser can be the victim's supervisor, a supervisor in another area, a co-worker, or someone who is not an employee of the employer, such as a client or customer.

Sexual Harassment Examples:  

     -Inquiring into personal lives/discussing sex life
     -Jokes, suggestive or lewd remarks, whistling, cat calls
     -Drawings, pictures, posters and cartoons
     -Emails, faxes, anonymous notes
     -Leering, staring, gestures, touching, winking
     -Unwanted requests for dates
     -Inappropriate compliments, commenting on clothing, body parts or anatomy



What if sexual harassment happens to me?

If you feel you are a victim of Sexual Harassment:

Contact your supervisor immediately and inform them of the situation. The supervisor will immediately notify Human Resources and an investigation will be initiated.
If you have made your supervisor aware of the situation and you do not believe that your situation is being handled to your satisfaction or if your supervisor is involved in the situation then you can contact Roseanne Mullis directly and report the situation.

DO NOT DISCUSS THE SITUATION WITH ANYONE OTHER THAN HUMAN RESOURCES OR A DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE APPOINTED BY HUMAN RESOURCES OR YOUR UNION REPRESENTATIVE ONCE THE INCIDENT HAS BEEN REPORTED TO YOUR SUPERVISOR.

ONCE THE SITUATION HAS BEEN REPORTED, DO NOT DISCUSS THE SITUATION WITH ANYONE OTHER THAN HUMAN RESOURCES OR YOUR UNION REPRESENTATIVE UNTIL HUMAN RESOURCES HAS COMPLETED THE INVESTIGATION.

Discussing the situation can impede investigations.
HUMAN RESOURCES AND E LIGHT ELECTRIC SERVICES, INC. will keep all investigations and reports confidential to the maximum extent possible. E Light Electric Services, Inc. will not take any retaliation against an employee for filing a report of sexual harassment or requesting an investigation.
You may also report sexual harassment and other harassment complaints to your Union Representative. ONCE REPORTED, YOU SHOULD NOT DISCUSS THE COMPLAINT WITH ANYONE OTHER THAN HUMAN RESOURCES UNTIL THE INVESTIGATION IS COMPLETED.

Before reporting to the site you must complete all of the instructions listed on this page. Do not report to the site if you have not completed this process as you will not be allowed to attend the on site orientation.
