Safety Requirements for Supervisors  Page 6

WEEKLY SAFETY INSPECTION

MUST BE PERFORMED BY THE TOP SUPERVISOR ON THE PROJECT

E Light requires that the top supervisor on a project conduct a weekly safety inspection once per week for all projects.

We utilize the iAuditor template:
Operation: Weekly Safety Walk
Open the template on iAuditor, select start Audit, complete the header section and then swipe right to left and then walk the project.
Answer the questions asked in the audit as your walk.

You might want to read through all the question before you begin.
Some of the sections will not apply to your project. Just use N/A for those things.
Be sure to take pictures
The best way to do this, is at the section, while you are doing the walk, click on Camera and then select Take Picture, take the picture and then check it. If you like it, select use and move on. If you don’t, select Redo and try to take it again.

One of the great things about the pictures is that you can easily annotate them.
This can be done on any device and while you are in the audit. If you are not familiar with how to do this, ask the Regional Safety Manager or Director of Education and Loss Prevention.

DAILY SUPERVISORS REPORTS

MUST BE PERFORMED BY EVERY SUPERVISOR ON EVERY PROJECT< EVERY DAY

We require that each supervisor on a project complete a daily supervisors report.
We use the iAuditor Template:
Daily: Daily Supervisor’s Report
The idea is to allow you to do your report and make changes to it as things happen and as you progress through your day.
Timely and fast
Pictures on the spot
Don’t forget things
Don’t run out time to do it at the end of the day
If all supervisors do one, then we also have the views of the entire supervision about the day.
You can stop the audit and then go back to it and edit later as more then pop up.

You don’t have to wait until the end of the day
You can insert pictures right away
If you have someone else do it for you, you lose all of those benefits and those benefits are critical.

Be sure to sign it
Be sure to email them to:
      Your PM
      Your PE or Coordinator
The intent of this report is to record the events, disruptions, and things that happen throughout the day.
This is for our records
This is to be done by each supervisor daily as they go through the day.
It is not to be done by a PE for the supervisor.
