Federal law entitles you to a safe workplace. E Light must keep your workplace free of known health and safety hazards. You have the right to speak up about hazards without fear of retaliation. E Light also requires you to speak up about hazards. It is both your right and your duty. We can keep our workplace free of hazards and mitigate them if we all work together to identify them, talk about them and resolve them. You can discuss hazards with each other. If you see something, say something. You can tell your supervisor about hazards, you can ask questions and post hazards on the Continuous Improvement Discord Server so everyone can be aware and also help find ways to mitigate hazards and you can use the QR code found on the jobsite, on hard hats and ID cards to report hazards, and also report safety commendations to share when you see things being done safely and well. You can also talk to a Safety Committee member and share your concerns and ideas.

You also have the right to:
Receive workplace safety and health training in a language you understand
Work on machines that are safe
Refuse to work in a situation in which you would be exposed to a hazard
Receive required safety equipment, such as gloves or a harness and lifeline for falls
Be protected from toxic chemicals
Request an OSHA inspection, and speak to the inspector
Report an injury or illness, and get copies of your medical records
Review records of work-related injuries and illnesses
See results of tests taken to find workplace hazards
Safety and Health Complaint
If you believe working conditions are unsafe or unhealthful, you may file a confidential complaint with OSHA and ask for an inspection. If possible, tell your employer about your concerns.
Protection from RetaliationIt is illegal for an employer to fire, demote, transfer or otherwise retaliate against a worker who complains to OSHA and uses their legal rights. If you believe you have been retaliated against in any way, file a whistleblower complaint within 30 days of the alleged retaliation.
It is important that you know your rights. It is also important that you know that E Light is committed to providing a safe workplace for our employees and we expect each and every one of you to communicate actively and consistently. We expect you to use the Continuous Improve Discord Server, to post comments and questions and observations and ideas so that we can all continually improve.
